What kind of camera do you use?

I use high-end Nikon cameras and lenses. 

When will we receive our pictures?

You will receive your pictures within 3-4 weeks after your session.

How far in advance do I need to book a session?

At a minimum, I need 48 hours notice. 

How do we schedule a session? 

Send me an email or call me and we can discuss the details.

Do you give us the copyright to our pictures?

You will receive full printing and sharing permissions. I retain copyright. 

Do you retouch the pictures?

I only do very minimal retouching upon request. If there is something you want removed, please tell me and I will retouch that specifically. Depending on the complexity of the retouch, there may be an additional charge.

Do you only do photo sessions in Grand Rapids, Michigan? I live in *insert city & state*?

I am available throughout Michigan, Indiana, and the Chicago area at no additional charge. I am also available nationwide, at an additional cost.

Do you offer student discounts?  

I do. I believe that students should be able to afford quality headshots for auditions. A valid college id is necessary for the discount. Please email me for student rates. 

How many outfits can I wear in my headshots?

 This depends on how long your session is. Typically, for a 30 minute session, you will only have one outfit. 1-2 hour sessions offer options of 2 outfits.

What should I wear for my headshots?

 Solid colored clothing. Avoid black and white, crazy prints, distracting stripes or polka dots, and costumes. Why? The focus of a headshot is your face. You want directors and casting agents to remember you. You want to wear an outfit that you would normally wear to an audition.
